The wait is over! The first phase of the Town's largest park project ever is finally complete. Construction on the variety of unique features began in the summer 2013. Now, the 230 acre Philip S. Miller Park truly has something for everyone.

The 7.4-mile native surface trail network consists of single-track trails divided into four different, but interconnected, loops with 1.2 miles of paved accessible segments. The trail's shinning jewel is the 200-step Challenge Staircase. It's already been wildly popular with fitness buffs.

In the future this active regional park will include a zip-line course and adventure playground.

Of all the Town’s new park initiatives, this project has the highest priority. It was one of the five top priorities considered when developing the Town’s 2013 Budget.

Over time, it could take nearly $30 million in public and private funds to build all of the amenities as outlined in the park'smaster plan. That's why the Town is working to build the park in phases over the next decade or more. Stay tuned for information on future phases.

The first phase, which opened Oct.25, 2014, includes: the Miller Activity Complex (MAC), an indoor leisure/lap pool, an outdoor lighted synthetic-turf field, parking, landscaping and basic park-wide infrastructure.Type your paragraph here.
